Jeff's background is in research and development in the manufacture of disk drives. His specialty was in process control, contamination control, failure analysis, and materials design and selection. He was employed at Dastek for five years in thin film-head manufacturing and at Western Digital for five years. Since the early days of programming, he's taken courses in BASIC, FORTRAN, LISP, Pascal and C, and has also worked with Visual Basic, C++ and Lotus Notes. Jeff is adept at using Microsoft applications and operating systems, and has experience with UNIX and Linux. He is an expert troubleshooter of defective hardware or related errors. Jeff is finally doing what friends and family have been urging him to do for years: work (play) on computers. Jeff currently resides in Gilroy with his wife and small son and enjoys family activities such as gymnastics, camping and bike-riding. In between family and work, Jeff enjoys wind-surfing at various locations all over the bay area.
Jim was raised in Hollister and returned several years ago to be closer to family. His work doing 3D computer animations for a computer game company in Southern California allowed him to telecommute from Hollister. Jim has been interested in computers since the early days of dual-floppy drives and minimal memory. He combined his interest in art and computers in his custom-cabinet business by developing a program that would produce detailed parts-lists for his shop. Jim began using cad based 3D software to help his cabinetry clients visualize their custom projects. Jim's artistic ability and interest in computer graphics evolved into full-time work as a lead 3D artist/animator in the computer games industry. Though you won't see his name in the credits, some of his work was used in the making of the movie "Titanic". Seeking a career adjustment, Jim attended the Computer Training Academy where he is working on completing the MCSE program. He currently holds MCP certification as well as Cisco CCNA certification. Having run his own business, Jim understands the needs of business owners and knows the importance of Solutions With Value when it comes to installation and maintenance of computer hardware and accounting systems. He used QuickBooks software in his own business and has helped with Peachtree in his father's business. Additionally, Jim has some programming in his background, having taken courses in Pascal & C at Santa Barbara College. When he's not sitting in front of a computer, Jim enjoys wood-working and working on his father's 1929Model A Roadster. He also does a little fiction writing with his brother when their schedules permit.. Jim and his wife, Martha, enjoy visiting with their grown children and their grandson "Zack" in southern California.
Nancy is a member of the administrative support team assisting Professional Computer Solutions, the computer department of Bianchi, Lorincz & Company. She began her computer experience working at IBM within the "new products" line where her hands-on experience and ability to troubleshoot problems were key to training new employees. Nancy then moved on to Storage Dimensions, Inc., a computer storage company, where she was able to fine tune her administrative abilities, supervising the receptionist group for the company. Nancy has attended several courses in Excel, Word, and other software programs. Giving the customer the best quality product possible, she moved on to quality control, where she worked as an administrative/quality support team member for the ISO9000 program. Nancy's duties at PCS include administrative support for our busy IT consultant staff, customer service, billing, shipping & receiving functions and inventory control. Her specialized computer background and broad-based administrative support experience give her the edge in delivering Solutions With Value to clients and staff alike. Nancy and her family of seven moved to Hollister in June of 1999. She was born and raised in San Jose when San Jose was as Hollister is now. This is the reason why she fell in love with Hollister. When she's not working with the computer consultants and other staff members, Nancy has a full schedule coordinating her household, husband and three teenagers, not to mention a boxer named "Rocky". She relaxes in the garden, doing crafts, reading a good book, and most of all, spending time with her granddaughter.
